Meet Scott Griggs

Scott Griggs is a real estate broker with The Coley Group at Compass, recognized by RealTrends Verified as the No. 1 real estate team in Raleigh and No. 2 in North Carolina. Scott lives in Wake Forest and works with buyers and sellers throughout Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina and the greater Triangle, with experience in luxury real estate, relocation, residential sales and buyer representation. He has been full time in real estate since 2015 and holds licenses in North Carolina (#355287) and California (#01788216).

Scott has built his business around providing knowledgeable guidance, strong representation and personal service. Scott believes good real estate representation starts with understanding what matters most to the people he works with. Before moving to North Carolina, Scott spent more than two decades living in San Diego and built much of his real estate career in Southern California. During that time, he gained extensive experience in the San Diego market and developed a strong network of professional relationships. He continues to hold his California real estate license and maintain those connections, which can be especially helpful for clients moving between California and North Carolina.

Today, North Carolina is home. Scott lives and works full time in the Triangle and serves clients throughout the region. Having made the move from Southern California himself, he understands many of the questions that come with relocating to a new area. Finding the right home is only part of the decision. Understanding the communities, commute, lifestyle and differences between areas can be just as important.

The move to North Carolina was also personal for Scott. He grew up in Wisconsin, graduated high school at Northern Nash Senior High School in Rocky Mount, and is a U.S. Navy veteran. He has family in North Carolina and came back to visit over the years. After 25 years in Southern California, moving here gave him the chance to be close to his family again.

Scott lives in Wake Forest and is the proud father of a daughter beginning her college journey. Family is an important part of his life and one reason he understands that real estate decisions are rarely just about the house itself. These decisions often involve family, finances, lifestyle and major changes in someone's life.
