Compass S&E + Luxury Division | US Open Finals Week

Last week, in New York City, 75 Compass agents from across the nation gathered for an exciting series of events designed to celebrate, learn, and connect. Gretchen Coley, Heather Domi, John Eric, and Steven Shane hosted the event in collaboration with Compass’s Sports and Entertainment Meet Up Series and the Compass Luxury Division, providing the perfect backdrop for this dynamic gathering.

The 3-day event kicked off with an inspiring opening by Compass CEO, Robert Reffkin, setting the tone for a series of exciting activities. Esteemed speakers like Robert Frank, James Beal, Jeff Blau, and Fara Leff led mind enriching discussions on industry trends, sharing insights amidst the stunning skyline views of the NYC skyline at the Edge, the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere.

The educational sessions were equally enlightening, with experts such as Felipe Hernandez and John Cox from Agenta sharing their best marketing and branding strategies, and Matthew Kan from Luxury Listings wrapping up the event with valuable tips on leveraging social media to enhance our real estate exposure.

This day would not be complete without a friendly competition. The Pickleball Tournament hosted by CityPickle at Wollman Rink NYC, in Central Park, and the finals held at the Hudson Yards brought a lot of excitement and high spirits. The energy was palpable as agents battled it out, with Caroline Bean and Franklin Pargh taking home the Beginner Champions title, and finally Peter Colbert and Sarah West clinching the Advanced Champions crown.

Evenings were spent enjoying the culinary delights of New York City with dinners at iconic spots like Nobu and Fouquet's New York, and lastly, a special Shabbat dinner hosted by Robert and Benís Reyes Reffkin, a fabulous way to end such a great week.

These gatherings are what builds the essence of the Compass experience, creating a network that supports our professional growth and also enhances our ability to connect buyers and sellers globally.
